TGIC Production Process

The main synthesis methods for TGIC include epoxidation, one-step method, two-step method, and SaPSeP method. Epoxidation mainly uses isocyanuric acid tripropyl ester as the main raw material, but its production cost is high and it has gradually been phased out by the market. The one-step method has low product yield and high raw material consumption, making it unsuitable for large-scale production. The two-step method involves first converting the raw material cyanuric acid into isocyanuric acid, and then using a cyclization reaction to produce the final product. This method is the mainstream synthesis method for TGIC and is widely used in industrial production.

TGIC, also known as Triglycidyl Isocyanurate, is produced using epichlorohydrin, cyanuric acid, and caustic soda as raw materials to synthesize (triglycidyl) isocyanurate through a two-step process.

In the first step, epichlorohydrin and cyanuric acid undergo an opening reaction under the action of a catalyst, and caustic soda is added during the reaction to promote the cyclization reaction, resulting in the formation of (triglycidyl) isocyanurate.

In the second step, the product is subjected to filtration, distillation, purification, and granulation to obtain TGIC as the final product.

Overall, the production process of TGIC involves opening and cyclization reactions, and it is important to carefully control the reaction conditions and purification steps to ensure the high quality and purity of the final product.
